Here at AdverCity, we aim to maintain a civilized community of members who wish to promote their forum as well as helping out other members with their forums. In order to do so, a few ground rules (aka "laws") must be laid out. Please take the next few minutes to read over the laws below. Failure to follow each of the laws could result in warnings, loss of powers, or termination of your account.

Posting:

• When posting, note that multiple sections have rule/guidelines of there own that are to be followed in addition to the ones on this board.
  
• All posts must be in English, with decent spelling and grammar. Constant l33t txt speak will not be tolerated at this forum, as posts get very hard to read.
  
• Post content must be suitable for 13+. Therefore, excessive swearing, nudity, sexuality, illegal discussion, warez, drug, etc. will not be tolerated.
  
• By posting here on AdverCity, you agree to follow these laws as well as the Proboards ToS.
  
• Torrent/BitTorrent content will not be tolerated. Any discussion regarding torrents, torrent software, torrent website, illegal downloads, torrent blogs, torrented movies, etc. will be deleted promptly, and the user who posted this content risks get a ban, due to the fact that this is breaking our Proboards ToS.
  
• When you are posting links, they must relate to the topic on hand. If you are posting links in a topic that has the sole purpose of advertising your forum (apart from Basic Promotion, etc.), or contains viruses, they will be removed.
  
• Do not make another of one topic if one has been made.
  
• Unless otherwise noted on each board, bumping is allowed every 48 hours. Please note that you aren't allowed to bump any topic that you didn't start, and you also can't bump a thread older then 2 months. You may also not bump any thread in the City Park category or any service requests in any of the official services offered by AdverCity.

Flaming/Trolling/Backseat Modding:

• Flaming is defined as a user insulting another user. We do not allow flaming.
  
• Trolling is defined as a user deliberately trying to piss off another user, normally to make one user start flaming. We don't tolerate trolling either.
  
• Backseat Modding is typically just a user taking the role of a moderator, most of the time while not knowing it. Backseat Modding isn't tolerated because this can become the start of a trolling/flaming argument. If you feel that there is something wrong with the post, simply report it to a moderator/admin.
  
• Simply, respect your fellow community members and staff. Obviously, members are here because they like this forum. Staff members put countless hours into this forum. Disrespecting anyone on this forum will not be tolerated, and actions will be taken.

Signatures/Avatars:

• Signatures are limited to a total size of 500 pixels wide. While we do not have a height limit, signatures deemed too big. will be removed.
  
• Advertisements are allowed to be in your signature.
  
• Avatars have a preset limit of 100x100.

PMs:

• The PM system has only one purpose: communication between members. This is to be the only purpose, therefore, advertising via PM will not be accepted. Any member who is found guilty of this will most likely take a ban, temporary or permanent.
  
• If you realize that somebody sent you a PM with an advertisement, feel free to quote it and PM an administrator.

Misc.:

• All images and coding (unless otherwise noted) are ©AdverCity 2010. We are the only ones who were granted permission by their makers (iiPod, JD) to use the images/codes. Violation of this will result of a ban here as well as a forum ToS violation to whichever host you are using.
  
• All of the rules above are subject to changes at anytime without any warning.
